  • Queer Happenings

Considering my last post was about snow, and that over a month ago, I thought I'd give you another update with... snow!

Yes, as weird as it may sound, we have (or had) snow today.  One day before Easter and I wake to a pretty white dusting on all the trees.  What will this odd weather bring us next?  Time will tell.

In other news, I've been fleshing out my listening material recently. I'm kinda in a female vocals mood, so I've been looking up bands I know on last.fm and checking out the similar artists. Haven't really found much I like yet, but there's alot out there.

Well, good night folks. Stay warm. And finally, though it's cliched it's no less true: He is risen!

  • Another month, Another post

I can't quite let the entire month slip away with out mentioning something of school... Or snow, for that matter.  Both are piling up, the one welcome, the other not. I'll leave you to guess which is which.

I'm in the middle of midterms right now, (2 down, 2 to go) which feels odd because of the six classes I have, two of them are one credit, short semester classes.  This means that while I work overly hard at these topics (I spent 2.5 hours on a report today) I get almost nothing in return.  I don't even get the satisfaction of a good grade on the midterm.

    On to snow...

It's lovely, white, 8 in. deep, and very, very dense.  A quick snatch with an ungloved hand will provide you with enough snow to put quite a respectable head on any frosty friend.  Due, however, to the afore mentioned report, I was unable to actually go enjoy it (yes, I still play in the snow).  I did take a quick trek to clean off the satellite dish so tae could play his games, which trip allowed me to make and fling two very nice round snowballs.  Such, I lament, was the extent of my wintry excursions.

Well, tomorrow is another day which, sadly, shall include more of the undesirable accumulations (which I hope, by now, you have concluded correctly to be the school work) and, hopefully, one or two more snowballs.

Please excuse my extraneous, but much merited, use of parenthetical commas...

  • I Flunked Civics

I only know one person who actually desires jury duty. The rest of us saner creatures dread the inevitable summons to appear for service. Such a summons was received by this reluctant citizen back at the end of november to notify me that my term of service was beginning, and my first appearence should be on December 14th. Since then, I've two other appearences at the courthouse. Of the three, I was selected for the jury on one occasion. The case in question took two days to cover all the evidence and reach a verdict. Now that I've concluded my term, I have a far greater respect for the judges who have to listen to this stuff all the time.

... On a lighter note, M&M's are still the candy of the gods.

  • I Got Him!

Well, I took down my first deer last night. The kill was rather spontaneous and non-premeditated. The conclusiveness of the hit was final, and the beast fell in place to give up the ghost. It was rather small, probably a spring buck, and the amount of meat on it's bones was sparse, so I left it there...

... I brought the car home though.

Truthfully, the title of this post should probably be "He Got Me!" The car took damage to the front right quarter panel, but is still running fine. I blame the entire incident on the highbeams of the woman who was nature gazing in the middle of Toka Rd. (It had to be a woman, what man would stop in the middle of the road and turn on his highbeams to just stare at the deer?) I'm very thankful that the damage, while ugly, is non-mechanical.

    -------------------------------------

In other news, my christmas shopping this year has progressed rather poorly. To date I have only purchased two presents. I'm hoping to finish at least three more tonight, but I'm not positive it can be done. I've got much to accomplish this coming week.
